A license key will be emailed to you at the time of purchase if you are downloading the software after purchasing. If the software is being shipped to you in a CD-ROM format, the license key will be included in your package. When you receive your license key, you will need to do the following:

Install NutriDIET Pro on your computer by inserting the disc and following the prompts on the install wizard
Once you have installed the software, you should see a pear icon on your desktop that reads, "NutriDIET Pro," double click it
A screen will pop up asking you to enter the license key, please type it as it was mailed to you
Press the "Submit Key" button to license the software
NutriDIET Pro will open automatically after the "Submit Key" license button was pressed

Where is my client data stored and how do I make a backup of this file?

Your client data is stored in a file called "Nutridietpro.mdb." We recommend that you make backups of this file often.

To make a back up you will need to do the following:

a) Save your changes within NutriDIET Pro
b) Close NutriDIET Pro completely
c) Next you will need to Access "My Computer" from the Start menu, open your "Local Disk," and then the "NutriDIET Pro" folder
d) Finally you will need to copy the "NutriDIETPro.mdb" file to a flash drive, external drive or CD
e) Once you have done this you will want to be sure that your client data has been saved to your external drive

Can I use NutriDIET Pro's meal planning software on a Mac?

Our software is not compatible with Mac Operating Systems. However, you can install NutriDIET Pro's meal planning software on a Mac using one of several third party emulator programs. These third party emulator programs will allow you to install a Windows Operating System on your Mac. Once you have a Windows Operating System up and running on your Mac you will be able to install and run NutriDIET Pro's meal planning software.

There are several third party emulator programs that you can use in conjunction with a Windows Operating System license. Some of these programs include Parallels, VMware Fusions and Boot Camp. Before you purchase a program, be sure that Parallels is not installed on your Mac. Parallels come standard on most new Mac computers.

When you use a Windows Operating System on your Mac, your Windows applications will run at native speed. Windows applications have full access to multiple processors and multiple cores, accelerated 3D graphics, and high-speed connections like USB, FireWire, Wi-Fi, and Gigabit Ethernet.

After you've installed a Windows OS using Boot Camp, you can start up your Mac using either operating system. Simply hold down the Option key when you power up and choose which operating system you would like to run.

I bought a new computer and need to move my data over, what do I do?

On your old computer, you will need to:

Go to "My Computer" from the Start menu
Open "Local Disk," then open "NutriDietPro"
Once you have found the NutriDIET Pro file you will need to copy the "NutriDIETPro.mdb" file to a flash drive, external drive or CD

On your new computer, you will need to:

Install NutriDIET Pro on your new computer by inserting the disc and following the Install Wizard prompts
Once you have successfully installed NutriDIET Pro, you will need to go to "Start," then "My Computer," and open your "Local Disk" folder
Here you will see the "NutriDIET Pro" folder, you will want to open it and copy the "NutriDIETPro.mdb" file that you backed up from your old computer into the "NutriDIET Pro" folder, overwriting the existing "NutriDIETPro.mdb" database on your new computer
Once you have done this you will need to launch NutriDIET Pro from the desktop's shortcut
A window will pop up asking you for your license key. Refer to the license key provided at the time of purchase, reenter it and press the "Submit Key" button. NutriDIET Pro will automatically launch
Confirm that the custom information was successfully transferred by opening the "Client Profile" window within the software, going to "File," then "Open" and pressing the "All Clients" button, you should see your custom data

What is an e-book?

The term "e-book" refers to an electronic book. An electronic book is a book in digital form that can be read on your PC. E-books can also be printed, emailed and in some cases read on a digital reader. E-books come in many formats including PDF, exe and Word. Our e-books come in PDF format.

Because our books are delivered in digital form you will be able to download them immediately following your purchase. Instead of paying shipping and handling fees and waiting for your purchase in the mail, you will be able to start using our e-books right away.

Do I need any special software to read an e-book, what are the system requirements?

Most e-books can be read using the default software of your computer. Since our e-books come in PDF format, you will need Acrobat Reader to view them. Acrobat Reader comes standard on most computers. If you do not have Acrobat on your computer you can download it, free of charge, from www.adobe.com. You may also need extracting software such as WinZip to unpack your purchase from the ZIP folder that it will arrive in. NutriDIET Pro meal planning software is best for those that work with clients. Though some professionals prefer to use our books, or our software in addition to our books, this format was built with professionals and consultants in mind. Our software allows you to enter, track and print client information. You can track client progress, schedule appointments and keep client notes all in one place. It will also provide you with 380 printable pre-designed menu plans including over 275 healthy recipes. Handouts on popular topics like heart health, diabetes and weight management are also included, making it easy to print and share these health tips with your clients and friends. Pick this format if you would like to have the ability to search for specific types of meal plans, would like access to all of our meal plans, need client management capabilities or need access to health related handouts.

NutriDIET Pro e-books were designed with the general public in mind. While many health and fitness professionals utilize our books as resources or to pass along plans to clients, these books contain everything a person would need to follow a healthy, well-balanced diet. Our books come in PDF format and include weekly meal plans based on varying calorie levels, from 1,200 to 3,000 calories. We also include a calorie chart, food substitution lists, recipes and healthy living tips which make our books a complete resource for healthy eating. Meal plans also include popular categories such as Eating Out and Vegetarian. There are 16 different e-books to choose from, including ethnic cuisines as well as diet, lifestyle and health specific books. NutriDIET Pro Database Licensing refers to the software's raw database, which is available for licensing. This option is for people who want to create custom applications, such as websites or software, and want to utilize the raw data from NutriDIET Pro's software. This will not allow you to customize menus, but will give you the flexibility to use the nutrition information provided in the database to create your own custom application. Pick this format if you are looking to create a mobile application, web application or software program.

Can I make changes to the meal plans?

Our meal plans come in PDF format in both our e-books and meal planning software. As a result, these PDFs can quickly and easily be printed or emailed, but cannot be altered using the NutriDIET Pro software. If you need to make changes or substitutions within a meal plan you can cross out and write in substituted foods, but you will not be able to make these substitutions electronically.

If you would like to make changes to our meal plans, you will have to type our meal plans into a different program, such as Word, Excel or Nutritionist Pro, and make your changes from there.

How do the food substitution lists work?

We include food substitution lists in our software and e-books for you to easily swap out foods in our meal plans. These lists are for reference only and will not allow you to make automatic substitutions. Changes must be made manually by crossing the food out and writing in the substituted food.

Our food lists contain nutritional values and are separated according to food category for you to quickly and easily find an appropriate substitute. For instance, if you would like to swap out a vegetable you will be able to go to the Vegetable food list and find a vegetable with comparable nutritional value.
